The Woman behind the Witch

A woman in a black shirt and white skirt leaning forward, resting her hands on the floor, in a room with plain walls.

I did not find this path. I was placed on it before I was old enough to name it.

Grown from Good Dark Soil

I grew up in New Hampshire, where the woods are thick and the winters are long and the land teaches you things that no classroom ever could. My Nana was my first guide into the wild untamed earth — she took me hiking, got her hands in the garden beside mine, traveled with a sense of wonder that never left her, and showed me what it looked like to be a good steward of the living world around you. She taught me that the earth is not a backdrop to your life. It is your life.

My grandmother taught me something different and equally sacred. She was a masseuse, a meditator, a woman who believed in the body's own intelligence long before the rest of the world caught up. She lit ear candles and spoke softly and healed people from a place of pure love and touch. She showed me that your hands can hold more than things — they can hold people. They can hold space. They can hold the kind of quiet that lets someone finally exhale.

I carried both of these women with me through Vermont, Michigan and Maryland, through every chapter that shaped me, until four years ago when Georgia asked me to stay and I said yes.

Now I live on a little homestead with my husband, my seven year old son, our chickens, our dogs, our cat, and gardens that remind me every single morning why I am here. We tend this land with the same love and reverence I was raised to have — because everything we cohabitate with deserves it. The soil, the seeds, the creatures, the people who walk through our door.

Wild Witch Wellness was born from all of it. From Nana's muddy boots and my grandmother's healing hands. From every place I have lived and every root I have grown. From the deep knowing that real wellness is not something you purchase or perform — it is something you remember.

I became a yoga teacher, a Reiki practitioner, a breathwork and meditation facilitator because I believe in the body's capacity to heal. I believe in love as a healing force. I believe in creating spaces so safe and so warm that people can finally put down what they have been carrying.

Touch is never assumed in my practice. Consent is woven into every session — always explicit, always in the moment, always yours to give or withhold. Because the women who shaped me taught me that the most sacred thing you can offer another person is safety. Real, unhurried, unconditional safety.

This is not a clinical space. It is not a performance. It is a clearing in the woods where something old and alive is still tending the fire.

Come as you are. The ground is soft here.
